Gilwell Park Adventure Centre Named Finalist in the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards

We’re proud to share that Gilwell Park Adventure Centre has been named a finalist in the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards in the Adventure Tourism category. It’s a significant milestone for our team, volunteers and wider community.

Over the past year, Gilwell Park has continued to grow into one of Victoria’s leading outdoor education and adventure destinations. Our focus has always been on delivering real and meaningful experiences—programs that build confidence, encourage teamwork and connect young people with nature.

Located in Gembrook, less than an hour from Melbourne, Gilwell Park spans 460 acres of bushland. We combine a rich Scouting history with modern facilities to offer activities such as high ropes, canoeing, bushcraft and environmental education. Our hybrid camps have been especially popular with schools, blending journey-based experiences with hardtop accommodation to create something truly memorable.

This award recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability and great customer experiences. Over the qualifying period, we upgraded adventure equipment, improved facilities to support accessibility and inclusiveness, introduced a new booking portal to make planning easier and transformed our Environment Centre into a welcoming arrival space.

We’re honoured to stand alongside other outstanding tourism operators across the state and are looking forward to the Awards Ceremony later this year.
